LIVERPOOL FC INJURY UPDATES:
The Reds started their 23/24 season very well. They only lose 1 game so far this season in the Premier League , against Tottenham Hotspur in a controversial match. Liverpool FC currently sits on 2nd in the table, only 1 point behind the League leaders Arsenal. The Reds will host the Gunners this weekend,a win for either one of the team will determine who is going to be on top of the league and increase the gap between these two teams. A draw will not do any good for both teams in the title race because of the revived Aston Villa. At this point in time, it is vital to collect as many points as you can get to stay on top of the title race.
This past weekend,we saw Liverpool dropping to second spot after a goalless draw against Manchester United at Anfield. Man United became the first club to escape with a point at Anfield this season. Furthermore Ten Hag's man became the first team to prevent Klopp's man from scoring even though they had 34 shots on goal.
There's a bit of concern for the Reds as the injury list keep on growing. In a press conference, Liverpool's assistance manager Pep Lijnders provided an update on injuries:

On Ryan Gravenberch
- "We thought there was really something, he came off during the game and you saw immediately when he came off what that did to the team as well, he was playing really well. Especially against these man-marking sides he plays unbelievable.
But he had a scan and it's only DOMS, which is fatigue, so that's a really good thing. He will train hopefully today, let's see where he is. We have to be careful of course because that's a sign. So that's a good one."
On Alexis Mac Allister -
"Alexis is progressing well, he doesn't have pain anymore, which is a good thing. It was worse than we first thought, but he is progressing well, no pain. Let's see if we can progress him."
"Diogo is doing ball work on the pitch so that is getting closer and closer. But always with hamstring injuries you have to be careful, we always say when they come back give them another two or three days for sure."
Hopefully we could potentially have both Diogo Jota and Ryan Gravenberch for the game against Arsenal on Saturday evening, if not one of them even starting.
