Liverpool are set to battle with Manchester United for the signature of Crystal Palace star Michael Olise.
The 22 year old right winger as shown his potential to become one of the great wingers in the future. He seems to be enjoying his time at Selhurst Park. His recent performances against Chelsea and Manchester City was outstanding.
During the last transfer window, many clubs ,including Chelsea approached Palace in an attempt to get the signature of Olise. I believe this might have triggered Palace to offer a fresh deal to the 22 year-old, which extended his terms until 2027 at Selhurst Park. This deal, however, allows any interested party to pay a release clause £60million, which can be triggered at the end of this current season.
According to Football Transfers, both Liverpool and United have been monitoring Olise's progress in South London, as Jurgen Klopp's side see him as a potential successor to Mohamed Salah, while United look to drive a fresh recruitment plan under the guidance of their new minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
Liverpool are looking for a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah who was strongly linked to Saudi Arabia last transfer window. It is just a matter of time before this nightmare becomes a reality to the Reds. Saudi Arabia is a strong Islamic Nation, which might tempt the Egyptian Star, who's also high profile Islamic Player. On the other hand, Salah's contract with the Reds will expire 2026, by then the right-winger will be 34 years old.
