LIVERPOOL FC INJURY UPDATES:

Image
The Reds started their 23/24 season very well. They only lose 1 game so far this season in the Premier League , against Tottenham Hotspur in a controversial match. Liverpool FC currently sits on 2nd in the table, only 1 point behind the League leaders Arsenal. The Reds will host the Gunners this weekend,a win for either one of the team will determine who is going to be on top of the league and increase the gap between these two teams. A draw will not do any good for both teams in the title race because of the revived Aston Villa. At this point in time, it is vital to collect as many points as you can get to stay on top of the title race. This past weekend,we saw Liverpool dropping to second spot after a goalless draw against Manchester United at Anfield. Man United became the first club to escape with a point at Anfield this season. Furthermore Ten Hag's man became the first team to prevent Klopp's man from scoring even though they had 34 shots on goal. There's a bit of con

The appointment of the 42-year- old Referee will rewrite the history as Sam Allison will become the second black referee to officiate a Premier League.     For the past three years,Sam was the only black ref in the top four English Divisions. He's also the first since Uriah Rennie in 2008.   There are almost 300 refs in England, surprisingly the number of non-white refs is below 10. This might have triggered the need for the PGMOL to try diversify hence the appointment of Sam. BAMRef ( the Black, Asian and Mixed-heritage Refereeing group) is please with this appointment as they issued the following statemen

Liverpool slip to second spot after dropping points at Anfield for the time this season. The Reds were left frustrated after they failed to break Eric Ten Hag's Man United.  In an interview with Liverpoolfc.com, Wataru Endõ claimed that they played very well and created so many chances but to their (Liverpool) disappointment they couldn't find the back of the net.   Wataru Endõ playing against Man United - image Liverpoolfc “We played well and we had so many chances,” the midfielder said. “We are disappointed about the result but the way we played today was amazing. We need to keep playing like this.” “If we score, it was a perfect game, I think. “I [also] focus on the defensive side, that’s my job, and we didn’t concede a goal, that’s also an important thing. We [need to] just keep playing like today. “Because we play at home, we needed three points. And we just have one. But we have to stay positive and get ready for the next game.”

A POINT SHARED BETWEEN LIVERPOOL FC AND MANCHESTER UNITED AT ANFIELD

It was a frustrating game for the Reds as they feel like they were a better side in today as compared to their opposition.  Heading to this match, Jurgen Klopp's men were the favorites with more than 70%. When the two last met at Anfield,it was ended in a 7 - 0 embarrassment to Man United. Liverpool threw everything they got but wasn't enough to break Ten Hag's man who defended so well. Klopp's men were pumped up in the first half of the game forcing corners from and creating more chance.  The solid defense of Ten Hag's man frustrated LFC players. On a post match interview, Virgil Van Dijk (LFC captain) expressed his frustrations when he criticised Manchester United's approach against Liverpool citing "only one team was trying to win" in their 0-0 draw.
